Are you ready to become a part of a dynamic team of SRO’s in the historic City of Camden? The Camden Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of School Resource Officer. This is a highly engaging opportunity to prevent crime, mentor youth, foster community relationships and be the Guardian of our most precious valuables: our YOUTH! The successful SRO will be responsible for working with both the Chief of Police and the Coordinator of School Safety for the Kershaw County School District to ensure student, staff, and building security. Great schedule with overtime opportunities at all school sporting and other events. The SRO position is part of the Investigative Services Division and answers to the SRO Sergeant. We are seeking only SCCJA Class I Certified applicants who have a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
