  • REDNECK INVESTING - GARLIC FARMING

Garlic is the 3rd most popular spice after salt and pepper.
    Garlic is easy to grow.
Garlic sells for about $1 per head.
Each head has @ 6-8 cloves.
The bigger cloves produce the bigger heads, smaller cloves, smaller heads.
Garlic is planted in the fall 6 weeks before the frost.
Lets say you buy 200 heads for $200.
You can break these 200 heads into conservatively 1200 cloves to plant.
If all goes well, the following spring you will have 1200 heads with 6-8 cloves each.
Break up your first years harvest into @ 7,200 new cloves to replant that fall.
The second year will yield 43,200 new cloves to plant.
    Replant all those cloves
The third year will yield 259,200 new cloves to plant.
You get the idea. At @ $1 a head, that adds up better than any compound interest you can find.
After your third year start selling garlic and continue to replant what you don't sell.
    Now you're a garlic farmer.

  • EASY RECIPE ALERT!!!
Great way to use up some eggs and beef! Oh and it’s keto friendly!

    Recipe: Taco Pie

Ingredients: 5-6 eggs (depending on size, if you are using duck eggs I’d do 3-4)
    1lb ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning of your choice
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    -1 cup heavy cream
~1/2 to 3/4 cup Shredded cheese for topping (I used Cracker Barrel marbled sharp)

Directions: preheat oven to 350 and lightly grease 9 inch pie plate

Brown ground beef in skillet and add taco seasoning, mix well.

Spread beef mixture in bottom of pie plate.

In medium/large bowl combine heavy cream, eggs, and garlic. Mix well.

Pour egg mixture over beef in pie plate.

Top with cheese and bake 30 mins or until center is set and cheese is browned. Remove from oven and let sit for 5 mins before serving. Enjoy!
