Cost Of Voter Rolls In SC Is Ridicules! OUT OF CONTROL SC GOVERNMENT!

SC charges $2500 every time someone wants to purchase the statewide voter rolls. If one were to want to analyze the voter rolls before and after a primary and then again before and after a general election, that would be $10,000! 90% of states charge less than South Carolina.

State law allows the State Election Commission to charge a “reasonable” fee for the voter rolls. Is that amount reasonable? It certainly doesn’t make the voter rolls accessible to the average person, considering the median income in SC is just over $58,000. This is yet another example of our state government catering to big business or large non-profits (who CAN afford it) and disregarding the average citizen in South Carolina.
